get_root_path() → Union[cloudpathlib.cloudpath.CloudPath, pathlib.Path][source]

Get the root path of the current disk:

  • On Linux this returns /

  • On Windows this returns `C:` or whatever the current drive is

>>> get_root_path()
"/" on Linux
"C:\" on Windows (if you run this code from the C: drive)
